Vaccipack is currently a proof of concept prototype. It is actively being developed to make it even more useful.

Vaccipack

As a busy parent, it can be hard to keep track of your pre-teen’s vaccinations. Vaccipack is a fun and easy way for you to learn about the vaccines your 11-14 year old daughter and/or son needs. You can stay informed by reading stories from the point of view of parents and providers, posting to the discussion forum, and using a vaccine tracker to log completed vaccines and receive reminders to make an appointment for an upcoming dose.

What is it?

Vaccipack is a smartphone app for iOS and Android. Vaccipack is an app for you as a parent to help manage your child's (or children's) vaccines. The app is designed for parents of 11-14 year olds. This app includes a vaccine tracker, inspirational stories, and a discussion forum. The vaccine tracker will allow you to see your progress towards completing the vaccines your child needs. The stories are inspired by real life experiences about providers and parents working together to keep teens healthy. The discussion forum is a place for parents to post comments, questions or experiences about teen health. Here you can also receive comments from other parents and health professionals.

Who is it for?

Vaccipack was designed for parents of children ages 11-14 to use during the time they are completing their vaccines. Vaccipack was created by a team of researchers at the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing and the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia with input from a community advisory board comprised of teens, parents and health professionals.
